Mindanao Blessings International is a faith-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to reach out to the poorest of the poor in the international communities of Southeast Asia starting in the southern region of the Philippines in Mindanao.  We are feeding the hungry and malnourished, sponsoring children to go to school, giving food and clothing to poverty-stricken families, and other programs like building a House of Refuge to protect the children on the streets from the hands of the predators and to start a Christian School.

MBI, based in Virginia Beach, Virginia is currently feeding more than 200 children from the villages and barrios in the city of Ozamis, Philippines.  This is done through the careful management of our field directors Pastor James Cagaanan and his wife Cecille.  Through their leadership, they managed a staff of eight, who does the shopping, cleaning, cooking, feeding, teaching, and the discipleship of boys and girls. MBI provides a Christian based ministry, educational curriculum, and feeding program away from the children’s homes.  Children cared for are from the age they are “potty trained” (approximately 3) up to 17 years old.  MBI is receiving donations to fund its programs. MBI officers and Board of Directors are in charge of managing the funds from its home office in Virginia Beach and send the funds as needed to administer the activities.

MBI welcomes individuals and corporate sponsors, philanthropists, grant providers, schools, clubs, churches or organization to fund our programs. There is poverty, pain and suffering in our world.  Children are our most valuable natural resources. We are God’s hands and feet to reach out to these boys and girls in this part of our world.  We can be a tiny drop of hope in an ocean of suffering, but a consistent drop of rain on the hardest stone will slowly melt it down, little by little.  MBI adheres to Jesus’ teachings found in the book of Matthew chapter 25 verses 31 to 45. Here are the following verses:  (NIV)

31 - When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory.

32 - All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

33 - He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 - “Then the King will say to those on his right, “Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.

35 - For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,

36 - I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”

37 - Then the righteous will answer him, “Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?

38 - When did we see you a stranger and invite you in or needing clothes and clothe you?

39 - When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you”?

40 - The King will reply, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”

41 - “Then he will say to those on his left, “Depart from me, you who are cursed, into eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

42 - For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink,

43 - I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.”

44 - “They also will answer, “Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?

45 - He will reply, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.”

It is our hope and prayer that many will join hands with MBI in reaching the children of Southeast Asia.  MBI is committed to continue this work until the Lord comes.
